As we enter the twenty-first century, our youth face new challenges in the knowledge-based economy. Today our youth are entering a workforce that is no longer seeking workers with degrees, but workers with knowledge. To become successful, our youth must be more prepared than ever to spend their valuable time on quality education that not only teaches what they are required to know, but more. The Youth are not comfortable any more in simply earning their degrees, because employers have greater access to a greater pool of talent. This leads to stiff competition, where only the best and brightest succeed. Such challenges have inspired today's parents, youth, and the community, to gravitate toward institutions of learning that provides an edge to them.

What distinguishes an "Anantha" educational experience from other educational institutions is the edge our students will gain during their studies here. In our experience, this edge defines the success of the student. This edge may be different for different students. For some it may be gaining superior communication skills, for others it may be a matter of becoming experts in their chosen field, while for many others it may be a combination of interactive discourses that shape their thinking. Whatever each student's needs may be, our mission is first to enable our students to find out their life interests, and providing them with the skills for lifelong learning.

The cornerstone of this vision comes from the founding member's father, Mr. Anantha Ramulu, who served as the teacher, and then as Head Master of leading schools in the region. He believed that education is not a destination but a journey. He endeavored to instill in his students a sense of adventure, curiosity and dedication to learning; to him, learning was about knowing, but more importantly about understanding. This would lead to "higher learning."

Such "higher learning" inspired all aspects of Mr. Anantha Ramulu's educational leadership throughout his career. Today, his students are leaders of the community, including leading professional doctors, engineers, scientists, lawyers, government servants, politicians and the like. Our goal is to ensure that his leadership, his legacy, and his vision goes on for generations to come, and becomes a reality.
